Dragons & Diamonds

Dragons and Diamonds is combat puzzle RPG. And (as is hinted at in its title), players bring together a special team of select dragons. Basically, the game goes like this: step 1: put an end to a plague of dragons that is raging the world. Step 2: amass incredible treasures (i.e. a whole lot of diamonds).

Gameplay in Dragons and Diamonds is very simple. In each battle you manage up to five different hunters, each one associated with a color. Your hunters are located in the upper half of the screen, next to the enemy you aren't currently facing. Meanwhile in the lower half you'll find a board full of precious gems, which you match up together by color so your heroes can attack. The more gems you link up in a single move, the more damage inflicted by your hunters.

In Dragons and Diamonds you'll find over a dozen different heroes willing to join up with your group of hunters including: warriors, explorers, clerics, necromancers, druids, samurai, priestesses, and much more. Each character's caste has its own color and is especially effective against a specific type of enemy, so be sure to match them up wisely. Also, some dragons are immune to certain colors, so you'll have to plan your clashes very strategically.

Dragons and Diamonds is an entertaining RPG that offers nice visuals and a richly detailed story mode. As you play your way through the story, you'll earn letters to build up your heroes making them more and more powerful.
